Polaris Taekwondo is a state of the art martial arts school that has been voted best in Delaware by Best Business Inc. twice. With classes taught by World-Class Instructors, students of all ages and skill levels engage in enriching and rewarding learning. The instructional staff is highly trained and work with students to be their best.

Polaris Taekwondo’s head instructor, Master Douglas Baker, is a 7th degree Black Belt who earned his 7th Dan under America’s highest ranking Grand Master, Master Kyon Won Ahn. During his tenure as a competitive fighter, he was a seven time United States National Champion, three time North American Champion, and 14 time Ohio state champion. In addition to his stellar competition record, Master Baker was a 1988 Olympic alternate and has been training olympic caliber athletes for decades. He has helped train individuals who have made the olympic team finals, the Pan American Championships, and International Open Champions.

This past year, Polaris taekwondo claimed the title of the best individual school in Ohio, with a grand total of 42 medals at the 2023 AAU Taekwondo National Championships, where over 4600+ competitors met to engage in elite competition. All of these students started at white belt under Master Baker and have shown significant progress in their martial art skills while training for a national caliber event.
